BIOGRAPHY

Dimitrios Tade (b. 1990, Greece) is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Athens. His practice centres on an imagined universe populated by colourful characters, anthropomorphic figures and mythical creatures, drawing inspiration from fantasy, video games and visions of outer space.

Tade creates a distinctive cast of fictional heroes: some appear winged or in flight, while others ride fantastical creatures. Recurring gestures, particularly figures pointing towards unseen destinations, suggest movement and discovery beyond the boundaries of the canvas. Through these characters, Tade constructs playful yet enigmatic worlds that invite the viewer into unfamiliar dimensions.

TECHNIQUE

Tade works on raw canvas, combining acrylic, oil and spray paint to build layers of colour, texture and depth. The exposed surface of the canvas becomes an active element within the composition, contrasting with the intensity and vibrancy of his painted figures.

Through overlapping materials, dynamic gestures and vivid imagery, Tade creates compositions that convey a sense of movement and spatial depth.
