Ron GALELLA

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1931 in the Bronx, New York, Ron Galella is an American photographer widely considered as the dean of American paparazzi. He lives and works in Montville, New Jersey.

TECHNIQUE

Galella first served as a photographer in the United States Air Force during Korean War and then attended the Art Center College of Design for photojournalism in Pasadena, California.

His work has appeared in hundreds of magazine and newspapers, among them Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, the New York Times, the New Yorker and Life.

Cultural institutions including Tate Modern London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York have exhibited his personal prints.
