Kaï (b. Los Angeles) is an American artist of Franco-Tunisian and Mexican heritage, known for blending street art with fine art traditions. Adopting his pseudonym as a teenager, he began creating urban art at 16, often with satirical messages on consumerism. After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and training in Italy and the Netherlands, Kaï developed a practice that spans murals, paintings, sculptures, and limited editions.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including Paris, Aspen, Miami, and Los Angeles, and collected by figures in music and sports. Notable projects include his acclaimed series Now Royalty—hip-hop icons reimagined as baroque nobility—and collaborations with Chris Brown, NFL player Jarvis Landry, and French actor Kev Adams.
Kaï is best recognized for his use of cement and his signature character, Imaginary Friend. His works combine urban interventions with studio practice, merging irony and cultural critique with classical training. Whether placing sculptural reliefs on city walls, creating installations, or designing collectible editions, Kaï’s art reflects universal themes of identity, value, and society.
