Michelangelo BASTIANI

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1979 in Bibbiena, Tuscany, Michelangelo Bastiani studied at the Art Institute of Florence and at the Academy of Fine Arts. He has displayed his works in exhibitions in his native country in Florence, Venice, Rome, Milan, Capri, and Pietrasanta, and worldwide in Paris, London, Munich, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Kiev, Oslo, New York and Miami. He lives and works in Tuscany.

TECHNIQUE

Bastiani’s work is composed of interactive video projections and hologram installations on led screens, focused on the theme of water, which is at the core of his artistic investigation. Bastiani breaks the representation boundaries of this element - dynamic by nature - through technology allowing a tangible interaction between the work and its environment. In doing so, he makes the spectator a part of his kinetic process.
