Starting November 12, Eternity Paris is thrilled to celebrate Paris Photo, a month dedicated to photography. Paris Photo is the largest international art fair dedicated to the photographic medium and is held each November in the heart of Paris. Since 1997, the fair’s mission is to promote and nurture photographic creation and the galleries, publishers, and artists at its core. Eternity Paris will highlight the work of renowned photographers and their iconic artworks, such as Gered Mankowitz and his stupefying pictures of the Rolling Stones, Terry O’Neill, and his glamorous portrait of Kate Moss, David Lachapelle, and his artistic stagings, and many more! All these stunning vintage photographs have a great story to tell - perhaps the most amazing would be the reason Ron Galella had to wear a football helmet every time his path crossed that of Marlon Brando. On June 12, 1973, actor Marlon Brando punched Galella in the face outside a restaurant in New York City, breaking the photographer's jaw and knocking out five of his teeth. Rumors say Brando had an affair with Jackie Onassis and wanted to teach Galella a lesson, after the court ordered the paparazzo to stay away from her. However, nothing could stop the photographer whose tenacity earned him the nickname “The Godfather of Paparazzi.”
